Sure-Anchor! is
a 100% solids high modulus, high strength, epoxy gel adhesive. It is
a two component, moisture-insensitive structural epoxy adhesive that
meets ASTM 0-881 and it is listed by I.C.B.O. Sure-Anchor I is available
in cartridges for easy dispensing, as well as larger, gallon units.
PURPOSE:
Sure-Anchor I is idea! for anchoring bolts, dowels, and reinforcing
steel into concrete. It is also ideal for vertical and horizontal structural
bonding and patching. Sure- Anchor I may also be used to seal cracks
and set injection ports prior to injection grouting.
ADVANTAGES:
- High-strength
structural adhesive
- lOBO listed
- Ideal for anchoring
dowels, bolts and rebars
- Easy dispensing
and no mixing with pre-filled cartridges
- Moisture insensitive
- Fast setting
- Non-sag, gel
consistency

Modulus of Elasticity - 500,000 psi (3447 MPa) Water Absorption - ASTM
D-570 - .9%
*Except for minimum
gel time due to it's fast set.
CURE TIME:
At 750F: (240C) Gel Time = 6-8 minutes (hard to
the touch). Cure = 2 hours. Attains 90% of ultimate strength in 2 hours.
PACKAGING:
Cartridges - 22 fI. oz. (.65 liters)
2 quart (1.9 liters), 1 gallon (3.8 liters), 2 gallon (7.57 liters)
and 10 gallon (37.85 liters), 110 gallon (416 liters) units
CLEAN UP:
Tools and Equipment: Clean up before the epoxy sets up.
Use toluene, methyl ethyl ketone, lacquer solvent.
LIMITATIONS:
Always test a small amount of J-51 epoxy to insure that the product
is mixed thoroughly and that the material will harden properly before
proceeding with the project.
Do not thin with solvents. Temperature must be 400F (40C)
or above and the substrate temperature must be above 400F
(40C). For applications with constant high temperatures (above
1500F, 660C), contact Dayton Superior.
Do not expose stored product to cold or freezing temperatures (below
350F, 1 0C) for any length of time.
Caution, high temperatures will accelerate the setting time and cool
temperatures will slow down the setting time. As a general rule, the
gel time of the epoxy will be cut in half for each 10 to 15 degree increase
in temperature above 750F and the gel time will double for
each 10 to 15 degree drop below 750F.
DANGER:
Component A - Prolonged or repeated exposure may cause eye or
skin irritation. If contact occurs, wash immediately and seek medical
help. Use safety glasses and wear protective rubber gloves. In case
of ingestion, call a physician. Refer to M.S.D.S. sheet for additional
information.
Component B - Contact with skin may cause severe burns. Wash
immediately with soap and water. Avoid eye contact. If eye contact occurs,
flush immediately with water. Product is a strong sensitizer. Avoid
breathing vapors. Use safety glasses and wear protective rubber gloves.
In case of ingestion, call a physician. Refer to M.S.D.S. sheet for
additional information.
